You can rise up from anything. You can recreate yourself. Nothing is permanent. You are not stuck , you have choices , you can think new thoughts , you can learn something new , you can create new habits. All that matters is that you decide today and never look back.
You’re not truly free until you lose the desire to impress people. This is something that took me a very long time to understand. I thought I knew what this meant the first time I heard it until I came to acknowledge the fact that I still desired people’s approval for everything I did , and as a result this held me back from achieving many things in my life and I know for a fact that I am not the only one who went through this or is going through this.
People fail to understand that you can be strong physically but COMPLETELY weak mentally. Do you ever wake up and feel mentally burned out? It’s like nothing even matters. You just want to get through the day so that you can get back to bed, and then you get so used to this feeling every morning to a point where you don’t even realize it anymore. It’s sad to say but this is what I call “The Vicious Cycle Of Feeling Like A Failure” … read that again if you have to.
It doesn’t take a lot for one to turn this around , like 360 degrees type of around! And sure you’ll lose a couple of friends here and there along your journey of change to boss up , but THAT’S OKAY because that just shows that they enjoyed your company when you were at your lowest. It’s very common to lose “friends” once you know what you want in life. Always remember that someone who is okay with being alone is a powerful being.
Starting your Boss Up process will require you to tell yourself that you only have 3 currencies in your life: your time , your money , and your knowledge. Your soul should be on a budget, where you can’t afford stress , envy , negative vibes , doubt or deceit. During this period you will be happy , hurting , and healing at the same time. Don’t ask me how. Never forget that the best part about being slept on is that the moment they realize they messed up by losing you , it’s too late to get you back so KEEP WORKING. KEEP GRINDING. Writing short notes to yourself should also do the trick when in comes to bossing up mentally. One of the notes that I once wrote to myself really stood out and stuck with me, it read: Don’t ever let the bare minimum excite you.
Be heavy on self improvement, it should be YOU VS YOU all day everyday. Consistency is harder when no one is clapping for you. You should clap for yourself during those times , you should always be your OWN BIGGEST FAN. Mindset is EVERYTHING.
